AlmaCrawler: Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)

Our commitment to ESG

Founded in 2013 and based in Viadana (MN), Italy, AlmaCrawler is known for manufacturing innovative self-propelled tracked aerial work platforms and material handling solutions.

In recent years, the company has launched an ambitious ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability and innovation journey, adopting a number of key initiatives that demonstrate its commitment to a greener and more inclusive future.

🌲 Environmental

In response to the growing focus on sustainability and reducing environmental impact, AlmaCrawler has been focusing on growing its product offering by developing full-electric machinery with electric drive and powered by a removable battery pack. This innovation not only eliminates the use of hydraulic oil, but also significantly reduces the environmental and noise pollution.

The Multi-Loader Line was the first product line to introduce this technology, followed by the telescopic self-levelling boom lift the JIBBI 1890 PRiMO and subsequently an update to AlmaCrawler’s best seller bi-levelling scissor lift the BIBI 1090 PRiMO.

The PRiMO technology for aerial platforms is a major breakthrough in machinery design and promises to allow for more circular products to start to exist within the industry, thanks to the ability of updating the machinery’s power source with the latest, most sustainable option.

In 2023, more than 45% of the AlmaCrawler products built and sold were full-electric, demonstrating a tangible commitment to a more sustainable product offering and a willingness of the market to purchase this.

👥 Social

On the social front, AlmaCrawler has taken significant steps towards fostering employee well-being and professional growth. In 2023, in addition to renewing the occupational accident insurance for all employees, AlmaCrawler initiated a welfare plan in collaboration with the “We Are Welfare” platform of Staff SpA. This initiative aims to enhance the overall quality of life for our employees.

Moreover, AlmaCrawler is dedicated to nurturing the professional development and advancement of its workforce. We are committed to providing tailored training programs designed to enhance the skills and capabilities of our employees.

Furthermore, as part of our commitment to digitalization, AlmaCrawler is actively working on implementing digital services for the benefit of employees, partners, and customers alike. In pursuit of this goal, we are currently developing “LearnAlmac,” an online training portal tailored to facilitate learning and usage of our products for both customers and service centers.

📝 Governance

AlmaCrawler has undertaken several significant initiatives to uphold transparent and responsible corporate governance practices.

Central to these efforts is the adoption of an organizational model, in accordance with Legislative Decree 231/2001, which is designed to ensure the effective management and oversight of the company’s operations. Additionally, a whistleblowing mechanism has been established to enable employees and other stakeholders to report any instances of misconduct or breaches of company policies, thus fostering an ethical and accountable work environment.

Simultaneously, AlmaCrawler has instituted a comprehensive Code of Ethics that delineates the ethical standards and principles of behavior expected in the company’s management.

These endeavors underscore AlmaCrawler’s unwavering commitment to transparent and responsible governance practices.

Furthermore, AlmaCrawler remains steadfast in its dedication to ESG best practices, actively engaging with organizations and initiatives that promote sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
