The B1890 VISUAL ETS is a Spiderboom tracked aerial platform, so called by AlmaCrawler because, among the other machines of the BT LINE, it represents an innovation for the sector. Thanks to the B1890 VISUAL ETS, operators can improve their performance while maintaining full working safety in any operation at height, a feature that distinguishes all AlmaCrawler platforms.

AlmaCrawler has developed the Spiderboom line, including the B1890 VISUAL ETS platform, with the aim of combining the main features of self-propelled wheeled aerial platforms and stabilised tracked aerial platforms in a single product. Thanks to this design concept, the B1890 VISUAL ETS provides a better operator experience and maximum adaptability.

Features of the B1890 VISUAL ETS

The B1890 VISUAL ETS platform allows operators to reach up to 18 metres in height and with a maximum outreach of over 10 metres.  The basket, equipped with technology for rotation up to 70°, can carry a weight of 250 kg.

The track of the B1890 VISUAL ETS is defined as “Undercarriage XXL”, as it is unique in the sector with a width of 1.39 m, length of 2.15 m and height of 0.47 m, for maximum safety when loading/unloading and moving the platform.

Among the features of this Spiderboom model, there are several technologies that make the B1890 VISUAL ETS platform unique, such as:

  • SPS (Self-Propelled Skilled System) system thanks to which it is possible to use the platform on longitudinal slopes of up to 10° and lateral slopes of up to 5°, even without the use of outriggers;
  • AWP (Adaptive Working Performance) technology on the working reach that optimises performance according to the stabilisation area;
  • ATS (Automatic Tensioner System), a hydraulic tensioning system that maintains the correct tension of the machine.

The platform can also be guided via joystick, thanks to the integrated AlmaCrawler steering system, with Cable Remote Led or Display Console.

The SPS system is what allows the use of the Billennium Spiderbooms even without lowering the stabilizers, levelling longitudinally up to a maximum of 10° with a maximum working height of 8 m for the B1570 and 9 m for the B1890 (max lateral slope 5°).


This system calculates the stabilization area in real time by measuring the angle of descend of each individual stabiliser in order to optimise the operational outreach performance over the entire working area up to an extra 0.5 m.
